Our rates.Published, not negotiated.
You should know what a plumber costs before you pick up the phone, not after the job. Our hourly rates are below, larger works are quoted in writing after a site visit, and the clock only starts when the engineer is at your door.
Four rates,
and that is the list.
Everything else is parts at cost, itemised. There is no call-out fee, no travel charge and no minimum job value beyond the first hour.
Standard visit
Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm £100first hour on siteThe minimum charge covers the first full hour, and the clock starts when the engineer arrives rather than when he sets off. After that, time is billed every 30 minutes.
Emergency visit
Evenings and weekends £140first hour on sitePriority attendance outside normal working hours, for the jobs that genuinely cannot wait until Monday. Billed in 30-minute increments after the first hour.
Boiler service
Domestic boilers £100full standard serviceA complete service with the front off the boiler. If a fault turns up while we are in there, the repair is quoted separately before anything is done.
Larger works
Written quotation Freesurvey and quoteBathrooms, heating installations and pipework upgrades are quoted in writing after a site visit, normally within 24 hours, with no obligation to proceed.
What will the
visit come to?
Set when you need us and roughly how long the job takes. This is labour only — parts are always itemised separately, and the engineer confirms the figure before starting.
Not sure how long it takes? Most single repairs — a tap, a leak, a toilet, a radiator valve — are done inside the first hour.

Everything that affects an invoice, stated here rather than discovered later.

Describe the job on the phone and we will tell you which rate applies and roughly how long it should take.
Call 020 3095 1113Is there a call-out charge?
No. We do not charge for travel time. Once the engineer is at your property a minimum of one hour's labour applies, and after that you are billed in 30-minute increments for the time actually spent.
What does the first visit cover?
Diagnosis and, where possible, the repair itself within that hour. If more time or parts are needed we explain the cost and get your approval before continuing.
How do I pay?
The first-hour charge is payable on the day by card or bank transfer. On larger jobs the balance is due once the work is finished to your satisfaction.
Do I get a written quote?
Always, for anything larger than a repair. Bathrooms, heating installations and pipework upgrades are quoted in writing after a site visit, normally within 24 hours, with no obligation.
Can I supply my own fittings?
Yes, and we are happy to install them. We cannot guarantee parts we did not supply, but we will tell you before fitting if something looks unsuitable for the property.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. Twelve months on our labour, with manufacturer warranties applying separately to any parts or appliances we supply and fit.
