Heating engineers in South London.Every room warm again.
Cold radiators, rooms that never reach temperature, noisy pipes and systems that cost more to run than they should. We find what is actually wrong with the system rather than blaming the boiler by default.
Cold radiators are a symptom.
We look for the cause.
Where the cold spot is tells us most of what we need to know before arriving. Pick the one that matches your system.
Balance, flush,
or leave well alone?
Power flushing gets sold to plenty of people who do not need it. Answer three questions and you will see what we would normally recommend before quoting anything.
From one valve
to the whole system.
Everything below is heating rather than boiler work, which is why it sits on this page and not under boilers.
Then we say so.
Roughly half the heating calls we take are system faults and half are appliance faults. The engineer who attends is qualified for both, so nobody has to come back tomorrow.
No heat at all, a lockout code or pressure that will not hold usually points at the appliance rather than the radiators. Same-day attendance, diagnosis first, fixed price second.
An undersized or worn-out boiler cannot be balanced into working properly. If that is what the survey finds, you get the options and a fixed price rather than another patch.
A serviced system with clean water and dosed inhibitor is the one that does not need us in January. Worth booking at the same time as any heating work while we are already there.
Old houses,
old systems.
Most of our heating work is in property built long before modern radiators and controls existed. Check your postcode or open your area.

Warm rooms,
no drama.
Recent heating and boiler jobs across South London.
Used TopFix twice now, once for a boiler service and once for a radiator that was not heating. Both times on time, honest about the cost and the job done properly.
Clapham
Booked a full bathroom refit. The team was punctual and the price matched the quote exactly. Our older Victorian house had complicated pipework and they handled it without any fuss.
Wimbledon
Had a burst pipe on a Sunday evening and TopFix sent someone out within the hour. The plumber explained exactly what was wrong, fixed it cleanly and left everything tidy.

Describe which radiators are cold and where on them, and we can usually tell you the likely cause on the phone.
Call 020 3095 1113Do I need a power flush?
Only if the system water is genuinely dirty. Cold spots at the bottom of several radiators and black water when bleeding point that way; one cold radiator usually just needs balancing or a new valve. We check before quoting, because a flush sold to the wrong system fixes nothing.
Why is one room always colder than the rest?
Almost always balancing. The radiators nearest the boiler take the flow and the far ones get what is left. Setting the lockshield valves across the system costs a fraction of what people expect and often solves it in one visit.
Can you add a radiator to an existing system?
Yes, provided the boiler has the capacity, which we check first. In older properties the pipework sometimes needs resizing to serve an extra radiator properly, and we tell you that before starting rather than afterwards.
Are smart thermostats worth fitting?
They help most in homes where the heating runs when nobody is in, or where upstairs and downstairs need different schedules. In a small flat with a simple routine the saving is modest. We give you a straight answer for your property rather than selling the box.
Can you fit underfloor heating in a period property?
Wet underfloor can be retrofitted, and it works best alongside a floor replacement or a renovation. We assess the floor build-up and the existing system first, since height and heat output are the two things that decide whether it is practical.
My heating works but the bills are high — can you help?
Usually yes. Poor controls, an unbalanced system, no zoning and a boiler running at the wrong flow temperature all waste gas quietly. Those are cheap things to correct compared with replacing equipment that is working.
